Centrifuge bringing improvisation, music and performance together is a Manchester Based activity initiated by Frakture.org Liverpool. Centrifuge #1 featuresmusicians from accross the region who will combine in small groupings on the night to deliver a programme of free improvisations.

The brief is that within an hours drive of Manchester are many musicians from the free improvised music (and associated leaning) who generally do not meet and play on any significant basis : or so it seems. Somehow geography, boundaries keep us apart, where-as in London the same distances either measured in miles /or time travelled doesn’t keep artists apart; i.e. there is more of a mixing up and playing together.

The good news, those musicians we have contacted to date, think likewise. There is a swell of enthusiams and a result: A gig more to follow shortly... but early indications do indicate that this is not a false alarm
