Frakture Concert Series.
We are pleased to announce another Frakture presentation, this
time an evening featuring a percussionist using homemade instruments,
amplified objects and junk, a duo set from players on double bass
and a drumset and all three to finish..

Will Guthrie:

Australian percussionist Will Guthrie uses home-made instruments,
amplified found and junk, micrphones & speakers alongside more
conventional drums and cymbals. He enjoys working in many different
settings of music including live performance, improvisation, studio
composition as well as being involved in numerous multi-arts projects
including installation work, film, theatre and puppetry.
In Australia he has organized, promoted and presented many concerts
featuring himself alongside others with a continuing focus on developing
an original Australian improvised music identity, relevant to the
environment and era from which he comes. He also runs the Australian
based experimental improvised CD label ANTBOY MUSIC.
Dominic Lash
plays contrabass, electric bass and very occasionally other things
as well. He performs with a variety of stable and more ad hoc groupings
in Oxford and London, as well as playing a major role in the administration
of Oxford Improvisers, Oxford's free improvisation and experimental
music collective.
The musicians he works with include Tony Bevan, Taylor Ho Bynum,
Chris Cundy, Fyfe Dangerfield, Angharad Davies, Ben Drew, Harris
Eisenstadt, Otto Fischer, Bruno Guastalla, Alexander Hawkins, Tim
Hill, Sandy Kindness, Paul May, Tony Marsh, Pete McPhail, Steve
Noble, Ian Smith, David Stent, Pat Thomas, Philipp Wachsmann, Alex
Ward, Mark Wastell, Veryan Weston, and Joe Williamson.
Patrick Farmer:
Patrick farmer plays prepared drums. utilising anything he can
throw,
scrape, rub, vibrate or simply hit, he uses friction to coax all
manner of
sounds from his instrument.
some of the people he has played with include, the good anna, designer
babies, last of the real hardmen, call it a clunes, the birmingham
improvisers orchestra, akron/family, keenan lawler, blizzards, moha!,
okkyung lee, chris corsano, sean meehan, etc.
