Frakture Big Band

Following the Damo Suzuki gig, The Eddie Prevost Night at The Bluecoat: What Happened Next?

The Frakture Big band was invited to play at The Warrington Festival of experimental music at The Pyramid Arts Center, Warrington. Date 21st June 2008, There were two rehearsals sessions prior to the concert. All concert performers have to attend the rehearsals.

The rehearsal dates were
Tuesday 10th June : venue Toxteth TV Liverpool
Tuesday 17th June : venue St Brides Church Liverpool

Interested musicians were invited to participate in this concert, we have an open door policy. We advertised via our own email network, egroups for improvised music & Arts Council UK newsletter.

First Session :
Introductions and kinetic discussions [ 20 minutes max]
A series a fixed length improvisation by the people present exploring the different dynamics; different dynamics in music and people present

Conclusion: group reflection and discussion leading to an outline for the concert program me. The concert programme maybe loose or very specific, the musicians present will decide.

Second Session Tues 17th June,
Similar to the first session except we play in larger groupings and whole group

Third Session is the gig: 21st June, The Pyramid Arts Centre Warrington.
