Frakture Big Band

Following the Damo Suzuki gig, The Eddie Prevost Night at The Bluecoat: What Happens Next?

The Frakture Big band has been invited to play at The Warrington Festival of experemental music at The Pyramid Arts Cente, Warrington. Date 21st June 2008, it is an evening performance.

There will be at two rehearsals sessions prior to the concert. All concert performers have to attend the rehearsals. This is the default procedue for Frakture Big Band performances.

The rehearsal dates are
Tuesday 10th June : venue TBC
Tuesday 17th June : venue TBC

Performers or even composers can submit a specific proposals for this concert, by using the the proposal form to be found in the menu panel on this page.

All interested musicans are welcome to apply to particpate in this concert, we have an open door policy. However newcommers we will discuss your application in May.
Closing Date for applications: May 5th 2008

1. First Session : Tues. 10th June, Venue To Be Confirmed
   1. Introductions and kinetic discussions [ 20 minutes max]
   2. A series a fixed length improvisation by the people present exploring the different dynamics; different dynamics in music and people present
   3. Conclusion: group reflection and discussion leading to an outline for the concert programme. The concert programme maybe loose or very specific, the musicians present will decide.
2. Second Session Tues 17th June, Venue To Be Confirmed
   1. Do what we decided at session one: a rehearsal .
3. Third Session is the gig: 21st June, The Pyramid Arts Centre Warrington.
   1. The evening other acts are not known at present.
