Guidance notes to musicians who wish to play at a Frakass Gig

• Read the following notes then fill in the Frakass Gig Form .
• Please note that Frakass is run by the Frakture Concerts Team some of whom will not know you!
• Schedule: most bookings for Frakass Gigs work 3-6 months in advance
• NORTH WEST : for the pre-Xmas period we are looking to book acts that are resident in the north west.

• There is some money and available for fees: Frakture's background is in "Free Improvisation" which is not a commercial activity: i.e. the audience does not pay your fee.
• Our finances cover the period June 2008 -2009: fees for your act could probly be decribed as "more than expenses".
• Frakture currently does not use private money to subsidise your concert.
• Funding for our concerts series varies.
• Door gigs: a formula for splitting door money with musicians is being reveiwed.
• Frakture are committed to maximising the fee for the musicians.
• However if your group has a fixed policy regarding money; only playing for a fixed non-negoatiable fee. Please indicate this too.
• Therefore when filling in the above mentioned Frakass gig form: the sections regarding fees you should indicate you have a realistic understanding of what may be involved regarding fees. Please indicate that you have a touring grant if you have one.
• Please indicate realistic overheads regarding travel and accommodation: if traveling home that night etc please include this.

• Tech Specs: please advise ASAP, don't ambush Frakture at the last moment with the costs of technical requirements: the sooner we know and can assess the better.

• If any member or musician is not a UK/EEC resident or legally resident in the UK/EEC please indicate this and what actions you are taking regarding work permits etc.
• If you are travelling to the UK please indicate that this is a realistic application by providing evidence or plans regarding how you intend to travel to the UK; and how you travel within the UK once here; put simply are we part of a tour? If so lets us know the details
