The Ringing of Great George : more info

Great George, a 14 tonne bell is rung at the end of the ringing of the regular bells usually around 10.30am. It is recommended to be there at 10.15

The Slow Soundwalk

Whether experienced as private meditation or as collective silence SOUNDWALKS refresh your ears and reset your sensual awareness to where you are, live or work......... To-nights walk is a special slow walk: a path that last 10 minutes at a brisk pace will take an hour. A path down Otterspool Park Path to the river taking in the sonic delights of the wood as we leave the road behind. A rare chance to slow down in the urban rush. All welcome: avoid noisy bags and clothing, bring a friend.

Phil Wachsmann is an improvising violinist whose work extends over some thirty-two years. Chamberpot started it all and since that he's worked in a great variety of improvising scenarios. In 90 minutes, Roger Parry, with his recordings to hand, will very lightly cover that ground!
