Splash #22 where creative forces meet [GO]

An evening of two and threes! a departure from the normal evening of performing groups we present an evening of small trios, duos from those present.

Notes For Musicians

Loads of stuff to do and more to come: meanwhile observe the following.

Frakture Big Band:

The Frakture Big band has been invited to play at The Warrington Festival of experemental music at The Pyramid Arts Cente, Warrington. Date 21st June 2008, it is an evening performance.

There will be at two rehearsals sessions prior to the concert. All concert performers have to attend the rehearsals. This is the default procedue for Frakture Big Band performances.

The rehearsal dates are
Tuesday 10th June : venue TBC
Tuesday 17th June : venue TBC

The deadline has passed for membership of the FBB for this gig, If you wish to be considered for future session, let us know!

On the distant horizon, a potential session with Frode Gjerstad, sax and clarinets, Paal Nilssen-Love, drums from Norway....

Proposals for the Frakture Big Band can be made by anyone, anytime and anywhere. If you have a proposal, a piece of work (composition!) or unusual location for the Frakture Big Band then use this "proposal form" and we will contact you.

i:Splash # 22 :

The "open call" for musicians to participate in Splash #22 is close to closing, and at present select seven will keep themselves COMPANY as they combine and weave the nights music...where creative forces meet! If you want to participate in this session: it is very complicated, you just let us know! 0151 709 6123

Two features to be brought to your attention: the regularly update listing page [here] and the notice board [GO]. The notice board has quick notes on recent news with the relevant links, a sample follows. Meanwhile here is a clip from the notice board. Membership of Frakture, is aimed at participants and musicians within the "frakture neighbourhood" .Go here to view the current "members" area of the Frakture Website: including the on-line application form!

Currently the deal is £5.00 till March 31st 2009: beyond that, benefits and charges will be reviewed. the current benefits is access to resources, equipment and media and office support!

Members may consult with Frakture staff for during the procedure of writing funding-applications. This support maybe be offered for your private applications or joint ventures with Frakture.

Membership is still in its beta phase .

Recruitment & Support

Following Frakture's successful re-organisation it is currently looking for active individuals in the following areas

  • NEW:SWIM: is looking to recruit a new team member preferably a vocal coach/workshop leader:
  • Frakture front of house : volunteers needed on concert nights to cover basic duties [INFO]
