Butch Morris, created conduction: the use of hand signals
& gestures to direct free improvisation. Maybe contradictory
and at times controversial.
SWIM: Sound Workshops in Music propose to introduce its
methods and practice into sessions during 2009 either in workshops or special sessions with the Frakture Big Band.
Frakture "conduction" series is being developed by Matt Hamlett and Phil Morton, we welcome support from another musicians or session leader.
See the Frakture/Workshops Forum for more info go to "workshops" section, if you wish to attend the next session contact Phil Morton on 07999518582 / email office@frakture.org.
