Acoute: Opening Statement

‘Frakture Concerts presents an evening of free improvised, contemporary music using acoustic sources with local and regional musicians’

First Gig: Acoute: #1, April 8 th 2011 What happens next

We do the concert, which at present would follow the standard Frakture format for a concert of this type, that is

• An evening of small groupings exploring the creative content present.
• Grouping randomly selected and chosen with a purpose.
• Solo acts and whole groups pieces may feature too.

But

To stray from the above format we may accept,

• Proposals to play compositions, “scores” etc
• Request from formal groupings e.g. acoustic trio Pecha Kucha
• Send proposals for acoute #1 or future sessions to
  concerts@frakture.org

Target Soundworld, practice

Cross over from free improvised / contemporary “classical” / electro-acoustic : without the electro / amplified textures / however the music will reflect those present at the time.
